Hippocampal Connectivity II: Spatial and Temporal Selectivity
Investigating the role of the hippocampus in sensorimotor control (data analyst).

Does hippocampal connectivity with motor cortex show the spatial and temporal selectivity needed for cognitive control of movement? This fMRI study examined connectivity during individual finger movements.
Key findings
- At each finger’s sensorimotor representation, hippocampal connectivity was greatest when that finger was moving (temporal selectivity).
- Seeds associated with each finger differed in connectivity to adjacent finger representations (spatial selectivity).
